EZ Test for Cocaine - 1 test

General:

The EZ test kit for cocaine identification, also known as the Scott Reagent / Cobalt Thiocyanate Test, can be used to test for the presence of cocaine and crack cocaine. Interestingly, the reagent also shows a reaction on contact with MDPV and 5-MeO-MiPT, despite their completely different structure. Although no explanation has yet been found, the test works and the results are included in the colour chart.

Usage:

The Scott Home Drug Testing Kit is a recent addition to the EZ Test range. It tests for cocaine, crack cocaine, 5-MeO MiPT and MDPV. When a sample is added to the chemical reagent in the glass ampoule, a colour change will occur on reaction. This colour should be compared with the colour chart included in the package instructions to give an indication of what might be in the sample.

All EZ tests use a chemical reagent absorbed in silica gel, which is located in the glass ampoule.

Instructions:

Step 1 - Prepare some of the substance for analysis. Only a small amount is needed, about a volume of 2 mm by 2 mm.

Step 2 - Tap the unopened ampoule against a hard surface several times to make any particles sticking to the side of the ampoule fall down.

Step 3 - Hold the ampoule in one hand and break off the top part along the break line, using thumb and forefinger.

Step 4 - Hold the ampoule upright and transfer your sample into the ampoule. After this, place the cap on the opened ampoule. ** Ehrlich and cannabis tests have a small pellet in the cap that acts as a catalyst and should also be added. ** ** A simple method to add your substance is to simply add the sample to the top of the cap and place the cap on the opened ampoule. **

Step 5 - Allow the sample and reagents/pellet to mix. A gentle shake and swirl may help.

Step 6 - Compare the colour change (if any) with the colours on the colour chart provided with the packaging. Each colour change should fully develop within 1-2 minutes.

Step 7 - When done, place the used ampoule in a sealed bag and dispose of it responsibly. Please do not just throw it away.
